Description
Daisies (Asteraceae) symbolize innocence and purity. In Norse mythology, the daisy is Freya's sacred flower. Freya is the goddess of love, beauty, and fertility, and as such the daisy came by symbolize childbirth, motherhood, and new beginnings.
Very interesting is that the Daisy is made up of two types of flowers - disk florets (center) and petal-like white ray florets (petals).
Daisies are native to north and central Europe and come in a multitude of colors and styles.
