The entryway to St. Joseph Cathedral in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Going up will take you to the Kilgen pipe organ which was installed in 1935. Going down will take you to the parish hall.
Emmanuel Masqueray was hired to design the cathedral in 1915.
Emmanuel passed in 1917. Edwin Lundie, Masqueray’s chief assistant, took over the project. The first Mass in the unfinished cathedral took place on December 8, 1918 and it was dedicated after its completion on May 7, 1919.
